Defect investigations and reports
Merlin Surveying Services have experience in organising and reporting upon both invasive and non invasive investigation into defects within all types of building - including deterioration of steel framed and reinforced concrete structures, damp surveys and waterproofing measures, defects to masonry walling and the causes of foundation movements etc.
Party wall advice
Whether looking at building works which may fall under the Party Wall etc Act 1996, or are an adjoining building owner affected by Party Wall issues, Merlin’s surveyors can assist. CDM coordinator services
At Merlin Surveying Services we are aware of health and safety legislation relating to building projects. In particular, the role of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM) which aims to improve health and safety issues in construction works. The client, the person who commissions the relevant construction works, has a statutory duty (amongst other duties) to appoint competent person(s) as CDM Coordinators. Our staff meets this competency requirements and many are full registered members of the Association for Project Safety, (RMaPS).
